Our merino mid-layer keeps you warm whilst breathing to allow moisture evacuate to the outside. Made from 100% extra fine merino, it is soft and pleasant to wear. Great on its own, or as part of a layering system on top of our merino base-layer. It’s also quick drying, naturally odor resistant and sustainable. The 1/4 zip neck can protect you neck when cold or be opened for ventilation when warmer.

Compared to other types of wool, merino wool is always fine and soft, generally less than 24 micron (μm) in diameter. Yet, it is graded by its fineness to produce yarn. The finer the wool used to produce the yarn is, the softer it will be on the skin. Extra fine merino wool can be worn directly on the skin even on the most sensible parts. It is very pleasant.

Knit type Jersey

Jersey is the most common type of knit fabric. It is widely used for making T-shirts or draped garments like dresses and tops. It is lightweight and not so stretchy unless the material has an amount of elasthane.

Medium heavyweight merino wool knit 335gsm

This is an indicator of the merino wool fabric thickness. GSM stands for grams per square meter. Medium-heavy weight is the perfect thickness for a second layer in cool to cold weather. It can be sufficient on its own or be supplemented with a third layer such as a jacket.
